Yoga is a scientific system of self-investigation, self-transformation, and self-realization. The tradition of Yoga views the human system as a multidimensional structure that includes all aspects of body, breath, mind, intellect, and emotion and their mutual interaction. The practices of Yoga include, but are not limited to, asana (postures), pranayama (breath), meditation, restorative yoga & yoga nidra, mantra, chanting, mudra, Macrobiotic and/or Ayurvedic dietary recommendations, ritual, and a disciplined lifestyle.
The practice of yoga helps one toward psychological-social-emotional-spiritual integration. It is, however, important to have proper instruction from a qualified yoga teacher. Jo-Ann is a fully trained, certified yoga professional registered with the international accreditation authority, the Yoga Alliance.
