I'm taking some time this morning to really focus my energy, my intention, my passion - if we have not yet crossed paths I want to introduce myself to you. I'm the nutritionist at the OIHC - I work with the amazing team there to help you find the diet strategy that will bring you closer to the health you're seeking.

I love working with all types of people but I have a special spot in my heart for parents.

Here’s what I love in particular... I love helping parents move from frazzled to confident; I love helping them maximize the tools at their disposal to find calm and simplicity. Helping them cut through the bullshit and find practical solutions to their problems. That’s what I love.

Nothing brings me more smiles, more tears, nothing breaks my heart open more than the story of a child who was struggling to focus, breathe, learn, sleep or thrive, who experienced a turn-around because their parents found the right tools.

My little piece of this parenting maze is how to use food - how to know for sure that you are maximizing it as a tool. It is only one of many tools but it is one that you have access to and that you use multiple times every single day.

And it is powerful.

What do my clients actually pay me for? To help them move from overwhelmed to confident. To get an outside perspective. To keep their eye on the big picture despite the day-to-day struggles of parenting (or life, for that matter).

Cause when it’s your own kid or your own self you’re too close. I don’t care how much you know about food. You’re too involved. You need perspective. You need a plan. You need to focus in on practical strategies that you can pull off daily that will give you the biggest return on your investment of time, money and energy. We all do.

Will food solve all health problems all the time? Will a change in diet cure autism or asthma or eczema or ADHD? Likely not. (Though sometimes it will, if what you're dealing with is actually a misdiagnosed food allergy).

But food is part of the picture. Always. Why? Because food brings information into your body; food stimulates responses which generate symptoms. Food provides the building blocks of our bodies and drives its function.

There are FOUR things I focus my clients in on. FOUR pieces to this puzzle. FOUR things to know about if you want to use food as a tool for health. I talk about them over and over. I write about them in my book. They are the foundation of my coaching. FOUR simple things.

I’ll be blasting these from the rooftops all year, folks. I want all parents, all people in fact, to have these tools. Why? Well, do you want the house analogy or the river analogy? These are the foundation of the house; These are at the headwaters of the river yielding massive trickle down effects.

If I've peaked your interest you can read more about this in my latest blog post. Then give the clinic a call and let's get you started.
